5 days canoeing in Nymboida paradise. No phone calls & hassles – thanx Walking Rivers for the best time.

Review of Walking RiversReviewed 14 December 2018

How do you describe a perfect experience? The river might have been a bit low on water but Ivan & Glenn made it all happen. These guys have so much to offer anyone interested in a holiday package with a difference. Everyone clicked into an amazing team intent on learning / sharing in a beautiful classroom in Northern NSW. The bug has got me for more canoeing with these guys.

Awesome time at Barrington Tops!

Review of Walking RiversReviewed 1 week ago

We did the 2 days 1 night camping and kayaking experience at Barrington Tops over the Easter weekend with Ivan and his brother, Glen and what can I say – it totally exceeded expectations!! The rapids were challenging but really fun and the scenery beautiful. Ivan and Glen are a really good duo to have on the trip (Ivan being the one who pulls it all together and Glen being the supportive big brother/uncle you never had).

Not only was it pretty comfortable for a city girl like me (thanks for having the tents set up, fire cracking and seats unfolded so that we could rest after a long day on the river!!), food was great (chilli and corn bread for dinner, eggs and cereal for breakfast and delicious potato salad roll for lunch with snacks along the way) and the company tops.

You don’t have to be a pro a kayaker to join these guys – they will teach you all the skills and stand in front of the big rocks so your flailing is should be minimal. Just need to bring a can-do, have fun attitude and enjoy the outdoors. I would also recommend this for those who have some level of fitness (we are 2 x 27 year olds who can generally have a good run around but were pretty sore/immobile at the end!!).

Thanks for the great time, Ivan and Glen. Looking forward to coming back when the river has even more water and perhaps one of your 5 day trips if I can get used to idea of the P-Tube…

Hot tip: bring a bottle of red to enjoy around the campfire and a cup that can double up as a wine glass and coffee cup
