Look no further than our Lake Macquarie Abseiling Adventure for the ultimate thrilling abseiling experience. Designed to push you and your friends out of your comfort zones, you will find the day exciting, exhilarating, and ultimately very rewarding.
Three very different abseiling adventures all on the same day
You can abseil each cliff however many times you want.
Away from the crowds and in a secluded location, the abseiling area offers breathtaking scenery in addition to incredible abseiling cliffs.

What Will I Be Doing:
First and foremost, we hope you enjoy the ride through the National Park in our Air Conditioned 4 X 4 Troop Carrier, which is a fantastic way to begin your adventure day. Then, when you arrive at the cliffs, you will start your training for your first abseil. Then, once you’re comfortable and ready, we’ll begin abseiling the three drops detailed on our itinerary page.
Last but not least, you’ll have morning tea and lunch while looking out at the fantastic views.

Valuable information:
Abseiling is appropriate for people with varying levels of fitness and ability. Because you receive comprehensive training, no previous experience is necessary.
Being moderately fit is all that is required. However, walking along the track back to the top of the cliff can be demanding for some people.
We have had children as young as ten and adults as old as seventy-two complete all three cliffs.
Lake Macquarie Abseiling Adventure departs from the Freemans Waterholes Cafe at 8 am and returns at approx 5.00 pm.
Furthermore, our vehicle may be able to pick individuals up directly from their accommodation or home, but this is before the 8.00 am start and at a small extra cost. Contact us to arrange.

WHAT IS GOING TO OCCUR
Tasks prior to your day:
Before the day, all participants in our Lake Macquarie Abseiling Adventure must fill out a waiver. It is a requirement to keep our insurance policy current.
Email is used to complete the entire form, including the signature.
After it is finished, you will get an email with information on how to get ready for the day.
We can send you an invoice, or you can pay for your day using our online booking system. Pick the solution that best suits your needs.
We leave from the Freemans Waterhole cafe, where there is plenty of space for parking your car all day.
Read below about the three cliffs:
20m Warm Up
After some training on sloping ground you will be ready for our first cliff of the day. Its a shear wall of approx 20 meters. Just enough to get your heart racing but not enough to terrify you, that will come later in the day.
With a comfortable launch area, our first cliff will allow you to build confidence and develop the skills required to tackle the Mega Drop.
Mega Drop
After a enjoying a short morning tea break it’s time to tackle the Mega drop, 60 meters of adrenaline-pumping action. The memories of achieving a challenge like the mega wall are both life-changing and lifelong.
The opportunity to explore some caves and study the intricate formations8 wind has carved into the rock will present itself.
The Dark Cave
A quirk of nature has created a miniature canyon in the landscape that’s just crying out for abseilers to investigate. In the event, you decide to join us, you will experience something that is indeed spectacular, unique and rare.
That is to say, we don’t often get to abseil down & then climb an almost vertical slot out of between rock that is not cliff based.
Our abseiling activities are always done in the Watagan’s National Park, which is approx. a 30 minute drive south west from Newcastle NSW.
