ITINERARY

First, we can meet everyone at 8.30 am at either Korsemans Landing or in the small township of Nerong. The weather determines the final start location. We will contact you the night before to confirm.

However, another option is available because we drive from our Newcastle base to the Myall Lakes.

You have a choice:

  • Travel with us the whole way. (our vehicle takes ten people)
  • By arrangement, you can join us somewhere along the way.

Significantly, on arrival beside the lake, we will fit everyone into their life jacket and adjust your kayak foot pegs to suit your leg length.

We will be covering the following paddle strokes and whitewater skills;

  • Equipment demonstration.
  • Group management
  • Safety Procedures.
  • Forward and reverse strokes
  • Sweep strokes
  • Draw strokes

Don’t worry if that seems a lot to remember; we have plenty of time to practice and go over all the different techniques once we are on the water and paddling .

IMPORTANT:

Our approximate return time to Newcastle is between 5 -7 pm, however, due to the number of variables in wilderness travel we recommend that you don’t plan any critical appointments that rely on us being back at this time. Fixed times and dates can cause unnecessarily stressful complications should our return be delayed by something out of our control. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss your travel plans in more detail. We can pick you up or drop you off at the Airport or from your house.
